How do you get to the stage in your business where you are FINALLY fully booked? If you’ve been struggling in the zone of having a few clients here and there, but nothing CONSISTENT, this is for you.
There are many ways to do it, but here are my top 4 tips to help you get to that consistently BOOKED out with 1-1 clients stage.
You’ve already got your business going, you’ve made some progress, you’ve got some clients in the door, you stand to get some money trickling in, there’s a glimmer of hope. Well then, what’s the next thing to do to move up to the next level, to move up to that fully booked maxed out stage.
1. Be Consistently On Message
Well, firstly we need to make sure that we’re actually consistently on message.
We need to consistently be putting out messages so that it’s really, really obvious to our audience what is our Zone of Genius, what is the place where we add the most value. We need that to be consistently on message, on brand, so that you just become the go to person in that Zone of Genius. It’s really, really important to keep that consistency. If you’re jumping into Facebook groups and giving top tip posts on a whole bunch of stuff that’s outside of your Zone of Genius everyone’s going to be confused.
They might be grateful for all the value that you’re adding but they’re not going to know what it is that you specialise in so be really consistent in the messaging that you’re putting out there.
2. Be Focused
You also need to be really focused.
You need to stay in your Zone. Stay in your lane, focus on what it is that you do best.
That means not getting dragged off by things that shiny object syndrome. That means, really focusing in on what you do best. Even if a client says to you, “Oh, could you help me with this?” And you go, “Well yeah, I could,” it’s easy in the early days of our business to get pulled in those directions and to follow the client, follow the money but if you’re actually going to get to fully booked it’s really important that you stay focused and you’re really, really clear about what it is that you do.
3. Be Consistently Visible
Then you need to be consistently visible.
This is going to look different for different people because some people are really, really fabulously visible all the time, consistently. In the offline world they might attend lots of networking events and that may be their way of actually making contacts and that might work really, really well for them and that’s totally fine.
If that’s your way of doing it, that’s brilliant.
Other people love to do it all online. For me, I actually like to have a balance of both. I have a consistent presence online, on the social media spaces that I’m on and mostly that’s Facebook, I’m doing a little bit more lead gen these days, so yeah, that’s kind of my online stuff.
Then offline, I do lots of speaking gigs and running events and all that sort of stuff. For me, it’s a balance between the two and finding a way that works for me which has taken me quite a lot of time. I got dragged into doing it all online at one point which it doesn’t play to my strengths so we need to play to our strengths in the way that we’re visible and the way that we show up.
4. Show Social Proof
Finally, you need to actually show some social proof so whether that’s case studies, testimonials, photos of you working with clients, rooms full of clients is even better, but having that social proof and sharing that in the places where your audience is looking for you is a really great way to actually boost your client numbers and help you to get to that fully booked stage.
