The 6 key ingredients that you need to master if you want to earn more money, work less and love your work more than ever before. I call that Leveraged and Loving It. You might call it something else, but that’s how I refer to it and that’s what it means to me.
This is my 18th year in business and I’ve had a roller coaster ride along the way. Let’s be honest: it’s not all happy daisies and love hearts, right. There are ups and downs along the journey, but there are a few things I’ve learned along the way and I wanted to share them with you.
What I’ve found, and I’ve distilled this down, is the 6 key ingredients, that if you master this stuff, you will achieve the success of Leveraged and Loving It. Whatever that looks like for you.
1. Focus & Clarity
You need to focus on your zone of genius and stick to it, not getting caught on shiny object syndrome, chasing shiny objects down rabbit holes. Stay focused and be clear. That’s number one.
2. Signature System
Create a signature system, using visual models of course, I’m biased. Take what’s in your head and turn it into something tangible and visible, so that it can do the heavy lifting for you in your business.
3. Products & Packaging
You need to have products and offerings that your client want and need, but also overlap with the way that you love to work. That’s number three.
4. Team & Collaborations
I could not do what I do without my team. I could not do 50K plus national tours without my team. Also, I could not get all the new clients and all that stuff without the collaborations that I do; the speaking gigs and the podcast and all the ways that I collaborate. That helps to give me leverage. It means that I can reach more people with less effort by collaborating and introducing other people to my audience and them introducing me to theirs.
5. Systems & Automations
This is totally not my Zone of Genius, but I know how important it is and I hire other people who are great at this stuff to make sure that my systems and automations are running really smoothly in my business, so that we’re not spending time doing repetitive menial tasks that we could easily get the technology to do for us.
6. Sales & Marketing
If you do all those other five things, and you are crap at Sales & Marketing, then you’re going to be the world’s best kept secret. That was pretty much what I was doing for a very long time.
I kind of mastered all the other stuff and was not mastering that sales and marketing piece and that’s crucial. Not my Zone of Genius. I highly recommend that you talk to someone like Francesca Moi if you want to run more live events and you want to get more bums in seats, talk to Francesca, right. There’s a collaboration for you. ‘Cause she taught me how to do that stuff, but it’s really, really important that you master it in the whole scheme of things.
Those are the six key ingredients you need to master to achieve success.
Bonus Tip for Your Success Model
Those six things make up my Success Model. I’m going to give you a pro tip here for your Success Model. You don’t need to provide all the ingredients to your clients. Of those six things, I only do the first three; Focus & Clarity, Signature Systems, Products and Packaging. I don’t teach the other three things because that’s not my Zone of Genius. My Zone of Genius is the Signature Systems and the two bits on either side. I do that as complimentary to that Signature System. But the main focus is always, always that one piece, being the Signature System.
Even though I know my clients need all six, I don’t have to give them all of the pieces and you don’t have to give your clients all the pieces either.
Which of those six key ingredients have you already mastered and which of them are you working on?
