I struggled for years to try and do everything by myself in my business.
Bookkeeping, content, product development, service delivery, website maintenance, admin, event management and MORE. I’m exhausted just typing that!
But here’s the brutal truth – I never did any of those things well or consistently. And, as a result, I never made it off the treadmill to Leveraged and Loving It.
But now, my only job is to THINK, SELL and DELIVER.
Everything else my TEAM handles.
This means I only work school hours during school terms.
And I’m more successful than I have ever been.
So don’t hesitate to start growing your team. Whether it’s just ad hoc hours with a VA (I recommend getting one local to your country for best results).
Today I’m going to be sharing with you my fourth key to success when it comes to creating a business that is leveraged and loving it, where you are earning more, working less, and having a whole lot more fun in your business.
My job in the business is to think, to sell, and to deliver. Anything else in the business I outsource to or delegate to my team. I love my team.
My Team Consists of:
- Accountant / Bookkeeper – Neha
- General Manager – Stevie
- Admin Assistant – Sol
- Executive Assistant – Kym
I have Neha who does the bookkeeping, and the accounting stuff.
Now, I can do that stuff, I did accounting and financing at uni, I’m completely educated and qualified to do that stuff, but it doesn’t light me up.
When I do it I feel … And … You know? It’s not a great use of my time. I’m much better off paying someone else to do that job so that I can spend my time in my business doing the stuff that lights me up, but also the stuff that earns money in the business.
So, I’m so, so grateful for my fabulous team who takes care of my clients and takes care of my business in such a beautiful way.
Without them, I wouldn’t have the space to just think, sell and deliver.
And the other part of this is also about collaborations and I love to collaborate with people who serve the same audience that I serve and have complementary services.
So for example; team and collaborations is one of the things in the success model that I teach, they’re actually six elements in this success model. And, but I don’t actually work with my clients in all of those six things, I only work with my clients mainly on the signature systems, but with a little bit of side serve of focus and clarity, and a side serve of products and packaging. But the other three things in that success model; team and collaborations, systems and automations, and sales and marketing I don’t do that stuff for or with my clients. I actually collaborate with other people to provide those services for my clients.
And that’s, I think that’s a powerful thing to do. I can identify that those are things that my clients need to be successful and have the success that they want, but I don’t have to be all things to my clients. I can say no actually, that’s not my Zone of Genius, but let me introduce to you someone who is awesome at this and who I know will help you to get right results. And so having those collaborations is really, really important.
